How The Hit Predictor works

How It Works

The Hit Predictor connects clients (labels, artists, managers, radio groups, streamers) with predictor panels (music fans, radio people, internet radio) to see which songs are truly connecting before the charts do.

Step by step

1

Clients create projects and upload songs

Labels, artists, managers and other industry partners log in as clients and create a project – for example, a single release, an EP, an album, or a campaign. Each project can contain one or multiple songs.

2

Predictors rate the songs

Our predictor panels – music fans, radio folks and internet radio – log in and hear songs in the genres they care about. They rate each track on a simple scale and can leave comments about what stands out (or doesn’t).

3

We compile the results

The Hit Predictor aggregates scores, vote volume and other key indicators so clients can quickly see which songs are cutting through, and which ones may need more work or support.

4

Clients use the insight

With clean reporting, clients can support adds at radio, pick focus tracks, allocate marketing spend, or simply get a clearer read on what listeners are reacting to – before committing full budgets.

Predictor panels

The Hit Predictor uses a mix of different predictor types so you don’t just see one perspective:

  • Music Fans – everyday listeners scoring what they love (or skip).
  • Radio People – programmers, MDs, PDs and others on the broadcast side.
  • Internet Radio & Streaming – digital curators and station operators.

Each group can be viewed together or separately in reporting, so labels and radio can see where their songs are strongest.
