About The Hit Predictor

The Hit Predictor is a music research platform that helps labels, artists, managers, radio programmers and digital curators understand which new songs are connecting – before the charts catch up.

We bring together a blend of music fans, radio people and internet radio programmers to score songs, leave feedback, and highlight the tracks with real momentum.

Built by a programmer, not a spreadsheet

The Hit Predictor was created by veteran broadcaster and programmer Lee Michaels, who has spent decades in major markets working with research, ratings and music decisions. The platform is designed to respect both:

  • the art and instincts of programming, and
  • the value of clean, easy-to-read listener insight.

Who it’s for

The Hit Predictor is built for:

  • Record labels & distributors testing singles and projects
  • Artists and managers planning rollouts or choosing focus tracks
  • Radio programmers and internet stations needing pre-air feedback
  • PR and promotion teams looking for proof points

How it works

  1. Clients create projects and upload songs. Each project can contain one or multiple tracks.
  2. Predictors rate the songs. Music fans, radio people and internet radio score songs on a simple scale.
  3. We compile the results. Clients see score summaries, vote volume and other key indicators.

From there, you can use the data to support adds, marketing budgets, tour decisions, or simply to understand which records are really connecting with listeners.

Where we’re headed

The current platform is Phase One of a larger roadmap that includes deeper reporting, expanded panels, and tighter tools for labels and broadcasters. We’re building in phases so that each step is stable, useful, and respectful of the people using it.
